be sage conference
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
The Be Sage Conference is an annual retreat for wedding professionals to learn how to better their businesses. We were the official event designer for the 2016 conference at The Secrets Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Three distinct, yet complimentary, spaces were designed for the attendees to experience during the conference: A colorful, modern Mexican themed welcome party around the pool, A fresh, clean conference room with a bold greenery wall, and a farewell party at Flora Farms under a canopy of lights.
Scroll down to see how we transformed each space to be consistent with Be Sage’s branding while complimenting the beautiful environment of Cabo.
A welcome party, sponsored by Rentivist, took place around the modern infiniti pool deck. We successfully designed a contemporary Mexican themed event while showcasing the Rentivist brand. Custom sewn, traditional Otomi upholstered lounges, intricate cut branded decals, fun cocktail napkins and drink stirrers, and colorful lighting made this a welcome party to remember.

Two full days of deep business learning were next up for the attendees. We brought the outside in by creating a tropical wonderland of lush leaves inside of the conference room. A dramatic backdrop of greenery and live plants on the tables gave the room a contemporary design. Modern table linens and wooden chairs finished off the look. We designed this room to be inspirational, clean, and comfortable for attendees to be able to fully concentrate on building their businesses for the better.
Unconventional details, such as wooden name tags and interactive escort card displays, acted as the perfect instagram-able moments for attendees to share with their followers.
Finally, to end the conference, the attendees were treated to a cocktail party under the stars at near by Flora Farms. Taking inspiration from the farm it’s self, the design centered around sunny yellow, geometrics, and fresh produce. Farm fresh cocktails were served to guests under a blanket of sparkle lights on a warm Mexico night. Wooden tables and whicker lounges were made modern with the addition of contemporary runners and comfortable pillows. Our choice of rental furniture, lighting, and design aesthetic was a big hit on social media.
