The Cream Event – New York City

The Cream Event rolled into town and I was lucky enough to be a part of it. It’s the answer to boring and stuffy bridal shows. It’s what I wish was around when I was planning my wedding. It’s full of the coolest, most creative, and nicest people who work in the wedding industry. The perfect place for me to showcase my wedding design work straight out of Brooklyn.

The most ambitious of my projects was that logo sign made completely out of spray painted push pins. It took a lot of pinning and pushing, but gosh, did it look amazing in the space.

I have a new love, it’s called Hanging Things From The Ceiling. This geometric mobile that I made was constructed out of wood veneer, gold metallic paper, and patterned paper I designed myself. It filled up the space with lots of drama without looking too stuffy or overwhelming. Dream project: covering a whole room in these. Someone hire me to do this. I guarantee you’ll love it.

I kept the flowers green, wild, and minimal. Giant leaves, ferns, and berries cascading out of gold vases. Done and done.

For my imaginary guests, DIY spicy vodka favors and geometric place cards. Oh, and those napkins, I hand drew the designed and printed it on fabric. People: let’s make patterned fabrics in weddings a trend, OK?

No party is complete without a big confetti bowl. Every home could always use a new piece of art. How great would it be if that piece of art was painted by all of your closest friends and family? SO GREAT.

No post about The Cream is complete without a shout out to this guy, my super hot husband.

At the end of the night, the floor was covered in a million kinds of confetti, I was sweaty, my feet hurt, and I met a ton of new people. Successful event all around.
