Thanks WellWed!

A shoot I styled a few months ago has made it’s way onto the printed pages of WellWed Magazine, Hamptons edition. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank my mother for letting me borrow that lace tablecloth. Thanks mom!

Marie Antoinette inspired photoshoot

A few of my favorite shots by the incredible Judy Pak of a Marie Antoinette photoshoot that I decorated and styled. Yes, those desserts tasted as good as they looked!! Big City Little Sweets are genius.

Did someone say floral crown?! I mean, seriously! Barbara’s Flowers knocked this one out. of. the. park.

See more over on Style Me Pretty! And when I say “more”, I mean, much, much more.

Oh, just a little appetizer display

This is what happens when I get an idea: I make a sketch. I get excited. I spend too much on supplies. I put on above mentioned Thinking Face. Said idea takes WAY longer and is WAY more involved than I originally planned for. It doesn’t matter because I love every second that I’m meticulously measuring and cutting wood veneer. That was not sarcastic. These painted wooden boxes were a huge project – but they turned out AMAZING.

These Dandy Dan peonies spoke to me at the floral market. No. Literally. They said, “we are huge and beautiful and I know you want to buy us.” Ok, Mr. Dandy Dan, you were right. HELLO! I want to lick these petals they are so gorgeous! Nothing like making a grand entrance carrying a show-stopper bouquet like this:

After I hand constructed these boxes out of wood, I painted them with an ombre glitter effect. Just enough sparkle to catch your eye and make you reach for those yummy treats.
