Indie Great Gatsby Wedding Shoot

Whenever I receive an email from the ultra-talented Judy Pak, I don’t even ask what she wants. I just say yes. She is that good a photographer. We, along with a slew of awesome creatives, collaborated on this Indie Great Gatsby inspiration shoot at De Seversky Mansion on Long Island. I brought the modern decorations and styled the shots, Ang Weddings and Events kept us all organized, Barbara’s Flowers made pretty arrangements, and Big City Little Sweets provided yummy desserts.

This shot above? My favorite. Those marquee letters? I made them.

Escort cards, arranged alphabetically, because the last thing guests want to do upon entering an awesome reception is stare at an escort card table or sign arranged by table number and try to find their name. Alphabetically, people. It’s just easier.

Amazing what a bunch of tissue paper and some patience will get you. This ceremony backdrop turned out even cooler than it was in my head. Love when that happens.

Because it’s not a party unless confetti is involved.

Let’s be honest here, this is an inspiration shoot. These two, although at first glance look perfect for each other, are mere acquaintances.  Luckily for us, they were acquaintances who perfectly harmonize songs with each other while we were shooting and styling away.
