Featured on HGTV: Modern Holiday Cocktail Party
When HGTV asked me to design a holiday cocktail party with a modern and colorful twist, I said, of course! Hello dream gig! Living in Brooklyn, I don’t have a ton of space to have people over for a sit down dinner. To be honest, my dinning table sits four so tightly that those four people better be related by blood or really, really like each other. The cocktail and appetizer party is a much better way to entertain and feed friends in small spaces. I used giant confetti to create a sparkly, colorful tabletop, which was the base for a variety of bite size snacks and treats. Hand painted, watercolor snowflakes were turned into a custom fabric that I used for napkins. The best part: you can purchase some watercolor snowflake fabric for yourself right here! Simple eucalyptus from the corner store was made modern in clear vases filled with silver and gold glitter. I’ve been finding tiny pieces of glitter in all the nooks of my apartment, but these glittery flower arrangements were oh so worth it.
