About

Nice to meet you.

I believe in a society where family comes first, homes are full of quirky details, and unnecessary clutter is thrown out without abandon.

About Michelle Edgemont

As a life long creative, I hold a BFA in Textile/Surface Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. I spent seven years working the fashion industry before I found my passion of designing joyful events and whimsical florals.  My experience putting together cohesive collections of textile designs for well known brands such as Target and Converse is evident in the way I piece together the many items needed for a completely immersive event experience.

As I learn how to be a better business owner, I love sharing that knowledge with fellow creatives. I’ve been a featured speaker at Making Things Happen, AltSummit, Chapel Designer Conference, and the Be Sage Conference. Contact me to discuss future speaking opportunities.

About The Company

Michelle Edgemont Design believes in a community that inspires, supports, and applauds all couples who are promising their lives to each other through bold, beautiful celebrations. We love companies that are unapologetically themselves, smart with their marketing positions, and appreciate out-of-this-world instagrammable moments at their events.

We do two things, and do them well: Event Design and Floral Design.

Our specialties are out-of-the-box mitzvahs and sophisticated, fun weddings.

Launched in 2011, we work in the NYC and Hudson Valley area. As an event designer, florist, and content producer, I’ve been quoted in the NYTimes and the best-selling book, A Practical Wedding, and featured multiple times on Style Me Pretty, Martha Stewart Weddings, The Knot, and HGTV.

I was recently named one of the 35 under 35 Brightest Stars in the Floral Business by Floral Review Magazine. The first book I styled, Weddings in Color, is now available everywhere books are sold.

101 Wedding Design Secrets is a book I wrote to pull the curtain back on event design through secret, insider tips and tricks. Download your copy for FREE.
