About

Nice to meet you.

I believe in a society where family comes first, homes are full of quirky details, and unnecessary clutter is thrown out without abandon.

Michelle Edgemont

As a life long creative, I hold a BFA in Textile/Surface Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. I spent six years working the fashion industry before I found my passion of designing joyful events and whimsical florals.  My experience putting together cohesive collections of textile designs for well known brands is evident in the way I piece together the many items needed for a completely immersive event experience.

As I learn how to be a better business owner, I love sharing that knowledge with fellow creatives. I’ve been a featured speaker at Making Things Happen, AltSummit, and the Be Sage Conference. Contact me to discuss future speaking opportunities.

The Company

The Michelle Edgemont brand believes in a community that inspires, supports, and applauds all couples who are promising their lives to each other through bold, beautiful celebrations. Launched in 2011, NYC (specifically Brooklyn) is my home base. As an event designer, florist, and prop stylist, I’ve been quoted in the NYTimes and the best-selling book, A Practical Wedding, and featured multiple times on Style Me Pretty, Green Wedding Shoes, Wedding Chicks, and HGTV. The Michelle Edgemont Shop, full of modern, colorful event decor that I’m known for, is now open!
